Salvation

To be plain and to the point, sin can be defined as anything that dishonors God.  It does not matter how big or how small we try and classify it as.  Sin is sin and it is what seperates us from God.

God wants us to live a life that is pleasing to Him.  One that entails a relationship with Him.  To achieve this we must come to God and ask Him to take away the things that are not pleasing to Him and help us to live a better life through His power and direction.

You can pray a prayer like this:

"God, I realize that I have done things that are not pleasing to you.  I believe that You sent Your Son, Jesus, to come and live a perfect life and sacrifice His life for me, and then He rose from the grave alive and well, so that I can spend forever with You.  Cleanse me from my sins and help me to live a life that is, not only pleasing to You, but blessed in every way so that I will see that there is more to life than the things that I was pursuing on my own.  Thank You.  Amen."

Now take a look at this Bible passage:

Romans 10:9-10 (NLT)
For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

This states that we believe in our heart but we must also confess with our mouths.  We would love to know if you prayed this prayer.  Give us a call at 580-924-5646 and let us know and we would love to hand you a free gift on how to get your new life in Christ going.
